Akwa United forward, Stephen Chukwude has added a huge boost to Kennedy Boboye’s side following his return to training after a thigh injury he suffered from their 3-0 home victory against Kano Pillars in matchday one.
Chukwude joined the defending champions from Wikki Tourists this summer and made an immediate impact at the club by scoring and further providing an assist on his debut game.
He thereafter limped off after scoring his goal following a tackle by Kano Pillars goalkeeper, Akpan Bassey and has since watched his side’s last four games from the crowd.
Information reaching Lodgexpress today, January 10, has it that Chukwude has made a full return to training and was spotted during their morning warm-up drills at the club’s training facility and should be in line to return to the pitch in their next home game against Katsina United.
