Rangers International playmaker Shedrack Asiegbu is thrilled to have been involved in their 5-3 thumping debut victory against Lobi Stars at their new temporary home ground in Awka on Saturday.
Asiegbu came on in the 50th minute while his side were leading by 4-0 and was involved in their build-up play to their fifth goal.
“It was a really nice way to kick-start our adventure here in Awka in an 8-goal thriller. This is exactly the way I would’ve pictured it,” he told Lodgexpress.com.
“It appears incredible how everything that happens when we rock the Rangers jersey still manages to get me surprised and be so very special.
“This was in overall, a great night. We finished the first quarter of the season in the 3rd position, just six points behind the second placed side and seven points clear from the league leaders.
“We netted three times in our last away game in Uyo and now we’ve hit five times in the new stadium. Let’s say it’s a good start and with this (2 weeks) break, we will have all the time to study the pitch, master it and get prepared for the remainder of the season…”
