Barcelona defender, Samuel Umtiti has agreed a wage cut at Camp Nou.
Marca reports that senior first team players like Gerard Pique, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets were the first to do so.
Since those three agreed, Sergi Roberto has also negotiated a new reduced salary and Umtiti is the latest to follow suit.
The French centre-back is well aware of the club’s situation and has accepted the conditions under which he is taking the reduction.
As one of the highest-paid players at the club, it was only a matter of time before the Catalan side asked Umtiti to reduce his wages.
Despite being out of favour at the club in recent years, as well as suffering from a number of injuries, Umtiti is eager to show that he is keen to fight for the badge and will now look to do so on a reduced wage.
