Manchester United icon Ryan Giggs has been left disappointed after missing out on a Premier League Hall of Fame place.
The Wales international was reportedly among the first players who would bag the honour, alongside Alan Shearer.
Nevertheless, his recent scandals, which included an arrest for reportedly assaulting two women, changed the Premier League’s mind.
Thierry Henry, formerly of Arsenal, was nominated along with Shearer.
According to the Daily Mirror, Giggs is pleading not guilty to the charges against him, and is “bitterly disappointed” at not being in the Premier League Hall of Fame.
Giggs is United’s all-time appearance record holder having played 963 games.
