The Premier League have explained why Manchester City star Rodri did not give away a penalty against Everton.
Replays showed Rodri handling the ball as he attempted to control a loose ball in the penalty area.
However, VAR reviewed the incident and determined there was no reason to award a penalty.
According to the Premier League: “Not clear enough evidence to show conclusively that it was handball” is the reason why no penalty was awarded to Everton.
Everton boss Frank Lampard said after the 1-0 loss to City on Saturday, per The Sun:”I’ll wait for the statement or apology they do when things are wrong, but it will mean nothing.
“I was calm, I was not shouting and ranting at him [referee Paul Tierney]. I wanted to know if offside in the build-up but I have been told it wasn’t in the build-up.”
