Plateau United high-flying wing-back Eric Oguocha was of firm belief that his side deserved their 1-0 away win over Rangers on Wednesday afternoon.
The Jos-based outfit went into the half-time break leading by 1-0 thanks to the five minutes opener from defender, Ibrahim Buhari and they had to fight hard to secure their much-needed win away and Oguocha who is familiar with the Ifeanyi Ubah stadium where he scored the last NPFL goal for his ex club, FC Ifeanyi Ubah before they got relegated to the NNL, was selected in the starting eleven to face Rangers, and he has now reacted to how he and his teammates went about the game.
“It was a really fantastic game for us, we showed them great character beating them right in front of their fans,” Oguocha told Lodgexpress.com. “I think we deserved what we got in the end, we created a lot of chances and needed to convert just one of them.
“Finally we are gelling together now and showing everyone what we are capable of doing and I’m happy we used Rangers to show others an example of what is coming.
“I’m sure the boss alongside the technical crew will be proud of our performance as we played strictly to their instructions and at the end of the day got all the maximum points.”
Plateau United welcome in-form side, Rivers United on Sunday in matchday 11.
