Plateau United centre-back Andrew Ikefe says manager Fidelis Ilechukwu’s “work ethic” has been quickly noticed by the players.

Ikefe rates his boss as a “great manager” following their 1-1 draw at Gombe United, a result which has now made them go six conservative games without a loss.

He told Lodgexpress.com: “The way the boss is working with us in training and the way he talks to us and not forgetting the energy he’s brought to the club, has made me believe he is going to be really good for us and will achieve quite alot.

“Already we’ve seen how great his work ethic had been, he showed that at MFM FC and Heartland, and now he’s going to be important for this club; Plateau United is built on a great work ethic and I’m really glad he’s with us and he’s the right manager to lead us to the promise land.”

Plateau United dropped to second place on the table after their 1-1 draw at Gombe United. In-form striker, Jesse Akila had put the visitors in front after just 23 minutes before the hosts got an equalizer in the 61st minute thanks to Ibrahim Yahaya’s goal.
