Barcelona have reported that Gerard Pique has suffered a sprain in the internal lateral ligament of his right knee.
This is due to keep the veteran defender out for between two and three weeks.
The Blaugrana have not specified when Pique will return to action and has stated that his evolution will be monitored by the medical team, but it is thought he wll miss the games against Osasuna, Paris Saint-Germain, Huesca and Real Sociedad
Pique got the knock during Barcelona’s Copa del Rey semi-final against Sevilla at the Camp Nou and after being treated on the sideline, he decided to get back into the pitch, where he remained until the final whistle.
The experienced 34-year-old centre-back returned to action recently after being sidelined for three months due to a ligament injury, one which he suffered in the LaLiga Santander game against Atletico Madrid back in November at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano.
