Manchester United’s departed boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had a chance to tweak his backroom staff.
ESPN reports that several Man United players felt the coaching methods and tactical strategies of the coaches at the club were too one-dimensional.
They felt a significant issue was Solskjaer relying on the likes of Michael Carrick and Kieran McKenna, who are very inexperienced at the top level.
The United hierarchy reportedly told Solskjaer he had all the support he needed, and could make any changes he desired to the backroom staff.
However, Solskjaer felt his coaches were world-class, and chose to stick by them until the end.
