Nigerian midfield player, Okechukwu Kalu, was in action for 85 minutes for his Togolese club, ASC Kara yesterday, January 5, as they claimed a slight 1-0 win away from home over Ifodjè Atakpamé in their matchday seven fixture.
Kalu was included in the starting lineup and he made some brilliant challenges and dominated the midfield battle. He played as instructed and carried out his job as a midfield enforcer while adding some really nice passes as well.
His man marking was superb and he also played the role of playmaking at times.
They now sit second on the Togo Championnat National group B standing with 12 points from 6 matches so far. Only two points separates them from league leaders, ASKO with 14 points from same number of matches played.
Kalu and his team will play host to 5th placed side, AC Semassi on fixture 8 on Sunday, January 16 before hitting the road for their matchday 9 tie with Sara Sport on January 23.
