Abia Warriors playmaker, Nweke Kalu is convinced the current squad depth under the watch of Imama Amakapabo are capable of winning silverware this season.
The playmaker poured out his heart for his club after playing his best game so far this season in their 3-0 win over Wikki Tourists on Wednesday afternoon.
Kalu produced a 5-star performance. He was pivotal in the build-up to Abia Warriors’ goals. He refused to be knocked off the ball when in possession, he never hid all through his 83 minutes on the pitch and was a constant threat when with the ball.
“I never for once stopped believing in this team.” Nweke told Lodgexpress.com. “I love this club, this is my secondary missionary journey here. Abia Warriors gave me a chance to develop into a good player and I will love to repay the Club and the supporters and everyone with atleast a silverware this season.
“I just love the agility, dedication and commitment of everyone here, and the style of playing is second to none. Some teams are trying to play like us but not really coming close.
“I really admire the style of play and the freedom to roam the midfield which the coach has handed me. That’s why I believe and I don’t stop believing when things go against us.
“We thrashed a side that won their last fixture away from home and the win was sweatless. We showed class today and gave the fans what they needed to see from us. Our focus now shifts to this weekend when we sit tight to welcome Nasarawa United.”
