Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel does not feel the time is right to talk about a new contract for Antonio Rudiger.
The German duo were present at the pre-match presser as Chelsea prepare to take on Atletico Madrid.
Rudiger’s contract has been a topic of discussion all season, but Tuchel believes such talks should wait until the end of the season.
“This is maybe the worst moment to talk about contracts, one day before a big match,” he told reporters.
“Of course, everybody knows about the situation of these three players [Rudiger, Thiago Silva and Andreas Christensen].
“All of them have performed at a high level so from there we will take the decisions in the club and we will communicate when the decisions are taken.
“Thiago is missing now since many weeks unfortunately, which is too long because we miss him a lot, but Andreas and Toni did fantastic jobs so far. We have to keep on going like this and the rest will be resolved.”
