Napoli forward Victor Osimhen was thrilled to end his penalty hoodoo after netting the winner against Fiorentina.
The Super Eagles man had seen an earlier spotkick stopped before making good on the second attempt.
“Of course, big kudos to (Piotr) Zielinski. I missed the first one, so I had to score the second one and I had the confidence I would score the second one. It’s a good feeling to get the goal,” Osimhen told DAZN.
Osimhen is in line to become the Serie A leading season goalscorer for the title winners for the first time since 2016.
“I think the curse is about to be broken, we still have four games to go and I want to get as many goals as possible, while winning the games.”
