MFM FC midfield ace Muyiwa Balogun was proud of his teammates after their 1-0 victory over Katsina United.
It was the Olukoya Boys’ third win since the start of the season after they suffered a 2-1 loss at Lobi Stars.
In a game of few chances Tunde Azeez gave MFM FC all maximum points thanks to his 81st minute winner.
“It’s been a very testing week for everyone,” admitted Muyiwa who came on as a substitute in the 48th minute.
“Our reaction today, to grab a victory alongside a clean sheet, shows we’re getting right back on track and we will sure build on from here. He told Lodgexpress.com
“To be very honest, I was extremely delighted with the players performances. They were desperate to get on the pitch and they showed why.
“That spell was amazing. As soon as we scored the goal towards the end of the game everyone had the confidence and belief that we have secured this victory. The fans raised the roof and that gave us even more belief to go forward and we were able to defend our lead until the final whistle.
“That Azeez’s single goal was important for the team but all’s that is in the past now as we have another tough away game to prepare for.”
MFM FC will travel to Aba to play Enyimba Football Club next week in matchday 14.
