MFM FC wing-back Christian Molokwu was delighted with victory over Katsina United in the Nigeria Professional Football League matchday 13.
The result sees the Olukoya Boys leapfrog Heartland Football Club to occupy the 19th position with the latter set to welcome Lobi Stars on Thursday in a game that might either see them topple MFM FC or remain at the bottom of the table.
Molokwu who was deeply pleased with the outcome of the game in Teslim Balogun Stadium, told Lodgexpress.com;
“It’s a result we wanted. Since the start of the season we have been putting all our collective bests to ensure we get a victory in each of our games but sadly it hasn’t been going our way. For this very game, knowing the problems Katsina United caused us in the first half, it was really necessary that we get the victory and return smiles on the faces of our supporters and gladly we did that and now have to focus on our next fixture and keep pushing to move away from relegation zone.”
MFM FC recorded their third victory of the season on Wednesday afternoon thanks to an 81st minute goal from Tunde Azeez. They now focus attention on Sunday for an away trip to Aba to face Enyimba in matchday 14.
