Ex AC Milan wing-back Andrea Maldera has insist Manchester United did not deserve last night’s Europa League victory.
United progressed after wining 1-0 to reach the quarterfinals 2-1 on aggregate.
Maldera stated: “Elimination burns for how it came about because Milan did better than Manchester United for three quarters of the double challenge.
“The attacker’s finish was missing, which unfortunately Milan didn’t have today due to absences and then we conceded (Paul) Pogba’s goal from a rebound.
“The entry of (Zlatan) Ibrahimovic gave greater danger to offensive actions even if the goal did not arrive. Milan does not come out reduced from this challenge, they are eliminated at the hands of a great club which, however, has never placed the Rossoneri under pressure.”
