Manchester City ace Phil Foden declared that he is now back to his very best.
The attacking midfielder has not enjoyed the best of times this season.
Despite being a favorite of manager Pep Guardiola, Foden has been in and out of the City team in recent months.
“I’m feeling back sharp now – back to my best,” he told reporters after a 2-0 win over Newcastle.
“I just want to keep that up now, keep performing. There are big games around the corner and we have to keep pushing. We knew the quality Newcastle had.
“What was nice was the team sticking together, showing heart and determination. You can’t always play good football to win. It’s about grinding it out and working hard. I felt we did that.
“Hopefully we can kick on and go on a run. The Premier League’s been a bit strange, a lot of teams have been dropping points. We’re looking sharp and in good form and we need to keep that up.
“I always want to win and push for more. Every time you win it, it gets harder the next year. We’re facing a difficult Arsenal team who are pushing us and we are still there fighting. We’re going to go the end.”
