Manchester United defender Harry Maguire is bidding to win back his place next season.
The team’s skipper was out of favor with Erik ten Hag last term, with Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez first choice.
At one point of the season, Maguire was fifth choice center half with Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw selected ahead of him in the pecking order.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Maguire has been training personally with ex Chelsea defender Ricardo Carvalho.
The former centre half would know about succeeding at a top club in the Premier League.
Maguire has been training three times a week for the previous three weeks.
