Nigeria sports journalist and Lodgexpress owner Ejimafor Itumo admits he’s a fan of NNL side, FWC Champions FC midfielder Stephen Danjuma.
Itumo was full of praise for the ex FC Ifeanyi Ubah man and believes he is a class defensive midfielder despite his team dropping to the third tier of Nigerian football.
He said: “I think he [Danjuma] is a top class midfield player who does a great job defensively, he can press the game, he is aggressive, he intercepts, he blocks, he tries to get them on the front foot.
“Physically Danjuma has good physicality, he gets around the pitch, he is young, mobile, agile and tactically he looks strong around the game.
“What makes him outsmart other midfielders is how he utilises empty spaces and technically, he is very good, he controls the game tempo, touches the ball, passes it, and has good awareness of space.
“I’ve kept close tabs on his development, and I can say that he will prove a really key addition for any team and this past season alone, he has so improved and is a top-class player in that area of the pitch.”
