Lobi Stars deep-lying playmaker, Chinedu Ufere, has lifted lids ahead of their clash with current league champions, Akwa United, on Sunday, in their matchday five clash.
Ufere who suffered a 3-0 loss with his team in their last outing against Gombe United, made his reaction during his pre-match presser with Lodgexpress.
“We all know how crucial and important a victory in this match will mean. We dropped three points at Gombe and we know we need the win to compete with teams occupying the top spot on the log and most importantly, we need the victory to regain our confidence.” He told Lodgexpress.
Reacting to their 3-0 loss to Gombe United, Ufere added;
“Everybody at the club felt bad following the result but we’ll use this game on Sunday to come back stronger and return to the top again.”
Lobi Stars slided to 13th on the log after matchday four with five points from four games.
They have drawn twice, won one and lost one so far this term while their visitors, Akwa United, suffered a 2-0 loss against Nasarawa United and dropped to 5th with 7 points from same number of games played.
