Ace Lobi Stars midfielder Chinedu Ufere was pleased after their home win against Shooting Stars in matchday three of the season.

Lobi secured a comeback win after being trailed at halftime before goals from Olamilekan Adams and Ifeanyi Ogba gave the host side a 2-1 win.

Ufere who returned to the starting lineup, was the architect in the build-up to both goals and came very close to getting on the scoresheet after his strike got saved by the bar.


In his entire duration on the pitch, the no.8 recorded a total of 87 touches, completed 87.7% of his passes, created one goal scoring chance, completed 7 long accurate passes, won 5 aerial duels from 7 competed, made 4 interceptions and had two shots on goal with one hitting the woodwork.

He told Lodgexpress afterwards: “I’m really delighted with the performance and the result because we needed the win to further boost our morale following our draw at Kano Pillars.

“Personally, I’m feeling really good, I guess I’ve played one of my best games so far this season and I’m just focused on improving the more and what I do on the pitch.

“It was great playing in front of our supporters, who helped us and got behind us from the first whistle. The atmosphere was fantastic. We have to thank them for that.”
