Ace Lobi Stars midfielder, Chinedu Ufere was class apart during their matchday 2 barren draw at Kano Pillars on Sunday.
The midfielder, after starring during their home 1-1 draw against Rivers United in matchday 1, was handed a rest from the starting lineup in their away trip to Kano Pillars.
With Lobi Stars needing to contain the pressures from the host side, Ufere was introduced in the 77th minutes. He was tasked with the responsibility of covering the right flank.
He offered a lot of creative essence going forward, with his combination play with Nasiru Momoh particularly catching the eye.
Ufere’s introduction was crucial in the speed of the game. He settled calmly in the central midfielder role, pivoting with the ball to push Kano Pillars backwards.
In just 13 minutes of play, Ufere finished the game with two shots, one dribble, three aerials won, one key pass and one tackle.
They take on newly promoted side, Shooting Stars Sports Club in matchday 3 on Wednesday, December 29.
