Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has lauded Cody Gakpo for his outstanding display at the weekend.
The Dutch forward was at his very best, scoring twice in a 7-0 win over Manchester United.
He got the scoring going for the Reds in the first half, with Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah also managing braces.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Carragher stated: “I wanted [Diogo] Jota and [Stefan] Bajcetic.
“But I think Klopp got it right. Elliott and Gakpo were key.
“The deployment of Gakpo was fantastic.”
“This was a wow moment,” Carragher added on one of the goals.
“I love the composure with the pass to Salah, he just waits, and then he’s off. That run was absolutely fantastic, and what a finish, don’t forget how far he’s run.
“He for me, was the big revelation for Liverpool, and the sign that maybe this front three can flourish.”
