Porto playmaker Fabio Vieira is interesting Liverpool chiefs.
Record reports that the Reds are keeping tabs on the youngster.
The 21-year-old was Player of the Tournament at the Euro U21 Championships in the summer and is growing in stature in Portugal.
Vieira’s deal at Porto is set to expire at the end of the season, meaning the Reds could negotiate with the talented youngster in the January transfer window regarding a pre-contract agreement for the summer.
But Porto are currently in talks over a new deal, which would also result in his release clause rising from €30m (£25.8m) to nearer the €50m (£43m) mark.
Failure to sign that contract could open the door for Liverpool to secure a cut-price January deal.
