Liverpool centre-back Virgil van Dijk said his side had to do a better job of defending after their defeat to Arsenal in the Premier League.
The Reds were beaten 3-2 away from home by the Londoners on Sunday, with Van Dijk still adamant they can finish in the top four.
The result leaves Liverpool, who are experiencing a tough start to the season, firmly in a mid-table position.
Asked about the team conceding so many goals in matches, he stated, per the club website: “Obviously if you concede goals it’s not a good thing. We try to avoid it; we do everything in our power to not concede because no-one wants to concede.
“Unfortunately we’ve already conceded too many in my opinion. There are multiple reasons for it, so we try to not do it and work on it each and every day behind the scenes that no-one sees. We try to improve and get back to the level we are supposed to be.”
