Representatives of Lionel Messi have played down reports of an agreement being reached with Inter Miami.
Marca reports that Inter Miami are strong contenders to land Messi but it’s not as straightforward as some outlets has it, with the player’s camp denying that he is on the bring of a move.
It’s been claimed the US club were optimistic and The Times has reported a possible contract that the Argentine will sign with the franchise managed by David Beckham.
“I always had the desire of being able to enjoy and have the experience of living in the United States, to experience what that league is, what life is like there. I would like to, but whether it happens or not, I don’t know,” Messi told La Sexta in 2020.
However, his entourage have denied the reports, with PSG preparing to offer the Argentine new terms. A return to Barcelona has also been raised.
