Leicester City forward Ademola Lookman revealed his delight at playing for Nigeria.
The 24-year-old came off the bench against Ghana on Friday in their World Cup Qualifying tie.
He was involved in the latter stages of a 0-0 draw, and hopes to play in the return leg as well.
Taking to social media post-game, the Leicester star said: “Extremely proud and grateful to have made my Super Eagles debut. Thank you God for the opportunity. It means everything to put on the shirt and represent my country. See you on Tuesday. We need your support.”
In addition, he told Complete Sports on Saturday. “Making my debut for the Super Eagles was beautiful. The atmosphere in the Kumasi stadium was really amazing. I’ve never seen anything like it.
“It’s going to be another tough game (on Tuesday). Another battle, another fight but we will be ready.”
