Lazio are close to signing Alessio Romagnoli from AC Milan on a free transfer.
The 27-year-old, who was Milan captain as they won the Serie A last season, has been out of favour at the club in recent months.
Romagnoli did not start a league game since the 25th of Februray for the Rossoneri.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, he has now agreed a contract with Lazio for next season and beyond.
The defender will sign a deal that will earn him close to €3 million per week.
Romagnoli was linked to Premier League side Chelsea, but they may have decided against making a move for the defender.
