Katsina United goalkeeper Yusuf Mohamed is proud of the way he’s fought back from knee injury he sustained last season.
Speaking with Lodgexpress, Yusuf reflected on the setback he suffered last term and admits being frustrated from watching his side lose games and concede goals.
“I knew right from the moment I snapped my knee and that I was going to face a lengthy spell on the sideline, I was also rest assured that everything was going to be fine and it would not break me,” he recalled.
Yusuf suffered the injury playing against Enyimba in Katsina last season.
“I knew right from the onset that I had injured it. It was really painful and many other players would have considered retirement. In all of these times, I’m glad I never gave up and I return all the glory to God.
“I’m returning stronger and better than before and will do everything to ensure we put back the smiles on the faces of our fans”.
Yusuf is now back to training and was spotted on video doing a light training at the club’s facility but no date has so far been announced for when he will return to the sticks.
