Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney’s son Kai says he can be in the Premier League in the future.
The 13-year-old is presently a part of the Red Devils’ academy system.
Kai, who has been making a name for himself in age group matches, says he is targeting the Premier League and continuing his father’s legacy.
Talking to SY Football, he replied: “I know its a a bit boring but probably my dad as he’s helped me though some of the hard times and taught me a lot about the game, even just being in the car listening to him as a manager talking to all the players.”
He added: “I support Everton. I know people might expect me to support Man United but it’s my dads team and I am from there. I have a love for Man Utd as well but my team is Everton.”
On a highlight of his young career so far, he added: “My favourite moment was when I scored four against Liverpool …even though we lost, I was the main man and was running past defenders. But my best moment was when I scored an overhead kick against City, for the under 12s.”
