Nweke Kalu is a doubt for Abia Warriors’ game against Sunshine Stars after suffering a minor knock in training.
The dazzling midfielder who joined up with his new side this summer from Kwara United and made his debut in last Sunday’s derby loss to Enyimba Football Club will have to wait before making his first home appearance for his boyhood club since leaving back in 2019.
“I felt a knock on my knee and thought I could continue with the session but couldn’t after being medically examined. He told Lodgexpress.
“I’ve always looked forward to making my first appearance in front of Abia Warriors fans at home but sadly that has to wait until our next home game.
“I wish the team the very best and will always show my support for them both on and off the pitch”.
Okemmiri Anthony is the player who is likely to come on for the injured Kalu after watching from the bench in their last game at Enyimba International Stadium.
