Nasarawa United midfielder, Tochukwu Michael was an amazing sight to behold in their 2-1 loss to Dakkada Football Club in Benin, on Sunday, January 9.
Dakkada Football Club played host to the Lafia-based outfit at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium following their three games banishment from Uyo.
Veteran midfielder and club skipper, Aniekan Ekpe opened the scoring for Dakkada from the penalty spot in the 3rd minutes before in-form Nasarawa United midfield lynchpin, Tochukwu Michael leveled the scoring from a cool finish in the 33rd minutes.
Last season’s top scorer, Silas Nwankwo had a chance to hand the visitors an advantage in the second half from the penalty spot but missed the shot before Dakkada went on to secure all three points in the 90th minutes thanks to a late goal from Emmanuel Ayaosi.
And Tochukwu, who scored during their matchday five game against Akwa United as well as Dakkada Football Club, told Lodgexpress;
“I will say it’s not easy when you try to maintain a set level in the game and for me to get on the scoresheet again, I’m really grateful to God and I look forward to scoring more goals this term”.
The result means Nasarawa United’s unbeaten run away from home has been brought to a halt and they will now return to Lafia to welcome Lobi Stars.
They currently occupy the 11th position on the log with 6 points from 5 matches while Dakkada Football Club now sits at 6th position with 7 points from same number of games so far played.
