Abia Warriors new signing, Nweke Kalu has reacted after making his return debut for new club on Sunday afternoon, in their 2-1 away loss to Enyimba Football Club in Aba.
The Nigerian playmaker who returned to the club he played between 2016-2019, wasted no time at his new club, as he was given a starting role by coach Imama Amakapabo immediately, and he was able to impress despite losing by 2-1.

Nweke Kalu started in Abia Warriors’ midfield alongside Cletus Emotan and Daniel Wotlai and he was at the top of his game, as he made some brilliant through passes in the game.
Enyimba opened scoring through Ekene Awazie in the 27th minutes, as the first half ended 1-0.
Paul Samson would then score to level the tie the lead in the 50th minutes via an acrobatic hit before freekick specialist, Chigozie Obasi fired in an amazing free-kick in the 77th minutes to seal the scoreline.
Kalu was superb for the Aba based club in the derby clash as he caused havoc from the middle all through the match duration.
Reacting after making his return debut for Abia Warriors, Kalu told Lodgexpress during his post-game conference;
“The feelings were good and great despite it not being my first debut for the club, having played here for three seasons before moving to Kwara United.
“Like I said earlier, its always a great feeling playing the Abia Derby and my coming back to Warriors is to help them win the league or grab a continental ticket”
