Manchester City shotstopper Ederson is set to take a penalty should the Champions League final be decided via a shootout.
The goalkeeper has never shied away from speaking about his penalty spot prowess.
Now the Brazilian says he will ask to take the decisive penalty, which is usually a team’s fifth penalty kick of the shoot out, if the Champions League final against Chelsea on Saturday goes all the way.
Ederson told TNT Sports in Brazil: “I am [on the list to take a penalty].
“I don’t need to train that much, but the fifth one, I’m taking it. The last one, the decisive one, I’ll ask for it…
“I don’t train much free-kicks. I trained penalties and when I played for Riberao I took some free-kicks but that is in the past now,” Ederson added.
“I am the best penalty taker but I am not chosen to take them!”
