Sunshine Stars winger, Hadi Mohammed has reacted after making his long awaited debut in the league for his new club since joining on a Bosman transfer this summer.
Hadi started the game watching from the bench in their 1-0 loss to Abia Warriors before coming on in the 55th minutes.
“It felt really good to mark my debut in the topflight division against Abia Warriors, I feel delighted and pleased that I had a great game, despite the loss”. He told Lodgexpress.
Following his introduction, Hadi had a couple of lovely jinks away from Abia Warriors defenders and also showed his qualities on the ball.
“We have a very long season ahead and we’re just playing our first game. I hope to play more, have more quality game time and as the season progresses, by God’s grace my best will be seen and acknowledged, and I promise to give my best whenever I am call upon to play in the team too”. He added.
Hadi presence gave life back into Sunshine Stars game thanks to his superb burst forward. He came very close to getting an equalizer after fending off three players, but his shot was blocked by an Abia Warriors defender.
It was most definitely a perfect way to begin the campaign under the watch of a new manager, team, fans and league.
He has been named in matchday squad that will welcome Rangers to Ijebu Ode on Wednesday evening.
