European football governing body, UEFA, have officially announced the immediate suspension of the punishment against the three clubs who have decided against dropping their interest in the European Super League project.
Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid are the last three of the 12 pioneer clubs who have not given up on the idea of creating a breakaway competition from UEFA.
“Following the opening of disciplinary proceedings against FC Barcelona, Juventus FC and Real Madrid CF for a potential violation of UEFA’s legal framework in connection with the so-called ‘Super League’ project, the UEFA Appeals Body has decided to stay the proceedings until further notice,” read UEFA’s statement.
The Swiss Ministry of Justice had previously indicated that neither UEFA nor FIFA can take any retaliatory action against the aforementioned three European football powerhouses
