Enugu Rangers Football Club forward Eboko Ikechukwu insists they will continue their winning ways under coach Abdul Maikaba.
Eboko was selected to lead the attack of the Flying Antelopes during their 1-0 win on Saturday following his eye-catching performance in their matchday 16 1-1 draw at Shooting Stars where he scored for his side.
He was an enormous presence at the Ifeanyi Ubah stadium, winning 4 aerial duels and making threatening attempts on goal, along with impressive runs in between Gombe United defenders all through his time on the pitch.
“Day after day all we do is try to improve and get into shape,” Eboko told Lodgexpress during a post-game interview. “We have a Coach who has transmitted his credo and mentality to the squad.
“Clearly it has taken us a short time to assimilate all that he’s introduced, and I had believed right from when he was appointed, that this season we’ll find ourselves at the forefront.
“We now know we have to add something more to the quality we have presently. There is no feeling that we need to make comparisons with last season.”
The win over Gombe United on Saturday now means that Rangers International climbs into the fourth position after Akwa United played out 1-1 draw with Abia Warriors on Sunday.
Their next game comes up this weekend and it’s an away trip to Uyo to take on Akwa United in matchday 18.
