Nasarawa United newest addition, Chijioke Alaekwe has reacted to his side’s 3-3 draw at Heartland during their opening fixture of the Nigeria topflight league gameday one last Sunday.
Alaekwe made his debut for the Solid Miners in the second half since arriving from Kano Pillars this summer. He was subbed on when Heartland Football Club were leading at 3-2 and made an immediate impact by winning the freekick that led to his side’s equalizer.
And reacting after the game, the ex FC Ifeanyi Ubah prolific striker told Lodgexpress;
“It was a great results for both sides. We gave our all and did our best as a team and as individuals and are now looking forward to grabbing more points away and securing our home victories and fight for the title as well as a continental spot by God’s grace.
“Alaekwe will be hoping to make his first appearance in Lafia before the home fans when Nasarawa United take on one of the league’s new boys, Gombe United, on boxing day in gameday two this Sunday”.
