Dakkada Football Club playmaker Adewale Lasisi heaped praises on club captain Aniekan Ekpe after victory over Enyimba.
The veteran skipper scored from the spot to make it 2-0 for Dakkada in a result that takes them off relegation zone.
It was an all-around class performance from the mercurial attacker, who carved up a helpless Enyimba side, playing an integral role in the dangerous and dynamic Dakkada frontline.
“Ekpe is a great player and against Enyimba he proved it,” attacker Lasisi said to Lodgexpress.com after the match.
“His penetrating passes from the middle was perfect. Most times I just feel so relaxed when he’s with the ball because we all know he’s always going to know what best to do with it.
Often, teams from the top of the league can cause more problems than others, but a win over Enyimba was never in doubt after Edidiong Ezekiel opened the scoring.
“We came to play a tough game and we scored early,” Lasisi continued.
“With one more goal, we now had total control of the match and we left happy with the three points.
“Now we can think about our trip to Ijebu Ode to take on Sunshine Stars.”
