Chelsea are prepared to return with an improved bid for Ajax midfielder Edson Alvarez.
The Blues tabled a £43million offer for the 25-year-old at the end of the summer transfer window earlier this year. And, reports as per transfer expert Simon Phillips says Alvarez is anticipating that Chelsea will return for him in the New Year.
Ajax were not willing to see Alvarez exit the club in the summer as they wouldn’t have been able to find his replacement so close to the transfer deadline. The midfielder was left disappointed to have missed out on a move to Stamford Bridge and even went AWOL from training during the deadline day saga.
But he could finally be set to get his move next month.
