Chelsea have lodged an improved offer for Jules Kounde.
The Sevilla defender is being targeted by Chelsea and Barcelona.
But it is believed Thomas Tuchel’s side are the frontrunners for Kounde’s signature.
The Blues had an offer of £46m including add-ons for the French defender rejected by Sevilla.
Now the Premier League club have put forward an improved offer of £55m, per The Daily Mail.
Personal terms already in place and Kounde bid farewell to the club’s supporters on Wednesday.
The 23-year-old hopes a deal can be agreed by Thursday.
