Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino believes Mason Mount would excel at Newcastle United.
The England star is struggling to find his best form under Graham Potter this season.
The Chelsea attacking midfielder has been out of sorts, while he is not able to agree a new contract with the club either.
Speaking to talkSPORT, ex-Blues striker Cascarino stated: “He’ll have interest from clubs without a doubt.
“It comes down to Mason. If he wants to stay at Chelsea, sit on the money and find himself in and out of the team, does that sit well with him? Probably not.
“I’m not sure where he’d play at Liverpool. Will it be at the top of the three behind the centre-forward? He won’t play on the right because that’s Salah. Diaz will come back so it won’t be on the left. In central attacking midfield, they did have Oxlade-Chamberlain to fill that role, but he didn’t really achieve that because he had big injuries. That’s the only way I see him.
“I think he’d do really well in that role. Mason Mount will have more than Liverpool chasing him, a number of clubs will be interested. If you were Newcastle would you be interested in taking him? If you want to become more of a Champions League team I think Mason Mount will fit really well in the way Newcastle play.”
