Charles Eguavon makes winning debut at home against Nasarawa United

Nasarawa United midfielder, Charles Eguavon has reacted after making his bow before his home fans following his summer move from Kwara United.

Eguavon made his debut for the Solid Miners during their barren draw at Ikenne against Remo Stars and was again named in the starting lineup right in front of his home supporters in their 2-0 victory over league’s defending champions, Akwa United.

“It wasn’t an easy contest considering how Akwa United set up their tactics for the game. But I’m glad we were able to step up in the second half and we eventually got the win; our first victory of the season too.” He told Lodgexpress.

Reacting after ending the first half without a goal, Eguavon added;

“The Determination to continue mounting the pressure was vital in the second half, which was what we were doing even in the first half.

“The breakthrough opportunity arrived in the second half and we took it with bold hands.”

Nasarawa United will hit the road this weekend as they take on Dakkada Football Club in Uyo on matchday five before playing host to Lobi Stars in day 6.

They currently occupy the fifth position after wrapping up six points in four matches.
