Manchester United and Portugal playmaker Bruno Fernandes has sent a message to his teammate Marcus Rashford.
Rashford suffered heartbreak with England at the just concluded Euro 2020 final against Italy, as the Three Lions lost on penalties.
Rashford missed his spot kick in the shootout after coming on in the last minute of extra time.
Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka, who missed their penalties, were subjected to racist abuse on social media post-game.
Fernandes posted on his Instagram stories and said: “You should only be proud of what you achieved in this tournament! Hold your head up high, bro!
“You are [an] example for everyone on and off the pitch.”
