Nigeria midfielder, Benjamin Teidi was involved in his side’s narrow 1-0 win over Telavi on Monday, September 20.
A 16th minutes goal from Jaba Jighuari was all that was needed to ensure Dinamo Batumi remain top of the league with 53 points from 24 matches played so far, 5 points clear from second placed side, Dinamo Tbilisi.
And Teidi who has been integral in his side’s unbeaten run, was in the ascendancy throughout the game and did an excellent job of keeping the pressure by denying Telavi a route out of their own half. Sequel to this, he spent his day chasing back past his defenders to cover the spaces they were leaving.
Their next league match is at home on Friday against FC Samgurali who will be without their key man, Luqman Gilmore who was given a marching order in their last game against Locomotive Tbilisi.
