Ex Chelsea defender Mario Melchiot is of the opinion that Ben Chilwell will struggle for a game under Thomas Tuchel.
Melchiot feels Spanish international, Marcos Alonso is the better option for the system Tuchel wishes to employ.
“Chilwell can find it tough now. Under (Frank) Lampard, Chelsea played 4-3-3 but now the formation has changed and they now play with wing-backs and it suits Marcos Alonso better,” Melchiot told Goal.
“It does not mean that Chilwell is a bad player, I like him as a player.
“But Alonso knows how to play in this role and he has really taken the chance.”
