Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo admits he remains angry with Alejandro Garnacho for his wind-up after Manchester United’s Europa League playoff win last month.
Garnacho mocked Pedri’s trademark goal celebration with a post to social media stating: “The big team goes to the next round”.
In response yesterday, Araujo told Infobae: “Alejandro Garnacho’s gesture after beating us bothered me, it was not possible at that time to put something like that. I respect everyone and I feel that humility is ahead of everything.
“Everyone expresses themselves as they want, but I prefer to have a profile lower and show later what I do on the field. This is football, it is very long and there is still a long way to go. You have to go calmly and with humility.’
The Uruguay international, asked if he would ever do the same to respond to Garnacho, added: “No, they are football things that I think of in a different way.”
