Sunshine Stars midfield ace Babatunde Bello was overjoyed with his free-kick against Dakkada Football Club on Sunday afternoon.
The midfielder inspired the Owena Whales’ come-from-behind 2-1 win over the Uyo side with a stunning freekick, which he says was a product of efforts on the training pitch.
Speaking to Lodgexpress.com following the game, Babatunde said: “After our training sessions I practise a lot and try to score some set-pieces. Today I just thought we had this moment, and I just went for it.”
Quizzed if it was the best free-kick he had ever scored, Babatunde added: “Well I think in my professional career I’ve scored lots of free-kicks, and the one against Dakkada wasn’t the first.
“I always feel so good whenever I score from a set-piece and I’ll say it’s one of my best so far because more are coming.”
