AS Roma and Arsenal are locked in transfer talks over Swiss midfielder Granit Xhaka.
The north Londoners are holding out for a fee of €25 million, as per Sky in Italy.
Roma, however, want to pay less than half that amount.
Their new boss, Jose Mourinho, is an admirer of Xhaka and wants the club to secure him for the coming season.
Mourinho spoke about Xhaka two years ago and said, per Sky Sports: “He is the most important man in the entire Arsenal midfield. He’s a true leader.”
Xhaka has been with Arsenal since 2016 and has played over 160 matches in the league.
