Remo Stars forward, Andy Okpe, opened his assists account for his club in their 2-1 away win against Wikki Tourists.
Okpe played his sixth game for the club since joining from Ghanaian club, Inter Allies and has so far netted three times before providing the two assists that gave them the 2-1 win yesterday in Bauchi.
The striker was included in the starting lineup of boss Gbenga Ogunbote and has now taken his total goal involvements to five in six games.
Their breakthrough came in the 10th minutes after new signing, Dare Ojo gave the visitors a lead courtesy of a brilliant assist from Andy Okpe before Abdullahi Oyedele doubles their lead thanks to another impressive setup by Andy Okpe in the 64th minutes.
Salisu Adamu would then go on to pull one back for the hosts from a corner kick in a scoreline which would go on to separate both sides after the final whistle.
Okpe has so far enjoyed a fantastic run on form since joining Remo Stars at the beginning of the season.
This is his first appearance in the Nigeria topflight league and he has since set settled very quickly with an amazing five times direct involvement on goals in just six appearances.
The currently occupy the top log with 14 points from six games played so far, with four wins, two draws and no loss recorded yet.
They are closely followed by Rivers United with 11 points from same number of games played
They will now play host to Abia Warriors in their matchday 7 fixture on Wednesday, January 19.
